Sport/Private Pilot Ground Schools
The Sport/Private Pilot class is typically
from 6:30pm - 9:00pm on Monday nights for ten weeks.
The Ground School prepares you for the
Private Pilot or Sport Pilot Knowledge Test.
This class can be taken before starting flight training or at the
same time. Call us for the current price. You
do not need to have books from a specific publisher but we recommend either the Jeppesen or Gleim part 61 kit. You can purchase
the books individually but it is cheaper to buy them as a package. We keep books in stock for your convenience or you can
order the kit online. After successful completion of the class, you can then take the written test. The written test will
cost $90 or $150 (depending on location and discounts). The results of this test are good for 2 years. If you do not complete
the flight training within 2 years you will need to retake the test.

Endorsement from a Designated
Pilot Examiner:
“While many ground
schools for aviation ratings are out there to utilize, I have enjoyed the preparedness of the students of Spencer’s
program in the depth and comprehension the students’ exhibit upon completion of the classes. Thanks to Spencer’s
efforts to prepare the applicant for the knowledge and oral exams the graduates have always been more knowledgeable and less
time is required to accomplish the process of issuance of a pilot certificate. Thanks to Spencer, the success is seen in his
attention to competence and compliance to producing pilots aware of aviation safety”
